POSITION TITLE: Development Operations Coordinator (Full-Time/External Relations Division)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The Development Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the External Relations Team serves the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation by maintaining state registration, charity review compliance, processing donor gifts and acknowledgements, conducting donor prospect research, and answering donor calls and emails. The Development Operations Coordinator will liaise with the greater Allina Office of Philanthropy, and Abbott Northwestern Hospital to determine best practices for furthering and supporting the relationship between MHIF, ANW and AOP.

The Coordinator will oversee the use of the Raiser’s Edge database. This individual will analyze the systems of the department as they relate to advancement and create and modify support processes and systems as necessary. The Coordinator will provide guidance, support, and training to all Raiser’s Edge users and is responsible for all department financial reporting – including maintaining department dashboards and aligning with AOP processes/procedures. The Coordinator will collaborate with the MHIF Finance department to integrate shared information between MHIF and AOP. This position will also help build strategy for a HIPAA compliant donor acquisition process.

QUALIFICATIONS

Desired Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years experience as a Raiser’s Edge specialist: creating complex mailing lists, running complex queries and reports, auditing data entry.
  • Proficient on PC Systems include MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience working with a team to ensure accurate and timely results.
