Grand Rounds
Program Overview
Cardiology Grand Rounds offer physicians and other health care providers the opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in cardiology. These weekly meetings feature topics from the following cardiac specialty areas: congestive heart failure, electrophysiology, cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, heart disease prevention, cardiac surgery, vascular/endovascular and miscellaneous.
Time & Place
Time: Every Monday beginning September 12; 7 – 8 a.m.
Place: Watson Room, Abbott Northwestern Education Building

Target Audience
Cardiovascular physicians, as well as midlevel providers and nurses on their care teams. Others who are interested in the topics presented are welcome to attend.
Objectives
After attending this program, participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate improved awareness of emerging cardiovascular clinical care standards derived from new research.
2. Discuss the implications of new cardiovascular care guidelines and develop more standardized approaches to treating cardiovascular disease.
3. Utilize current evidence-based guidelines to improve standards of care for individuals with cardiovascular diseases.
Accreditation
Allina Hospitals & Clinics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Allina Learning & Development, Office of Accreditation at Allina Hospitals & Clinics designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This activity has been designed to meet the Minnesota Board of Nursing continuing education requirements for 1.2 hours of credit. However, the nurse is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.
Individuals representing other professional disciplines may submit course materials to their respective professional associations for 1.0 hours of continuing education credit.
