Clair E. Strommen

A special friend of the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation (MHIF) passed
away recently, and we will miss him. The Foundation was just six years old when
Clair Strommen was asked to join the Board of Directors. For the next 10 years,
he served as a decisive leader and generous supporter of the Foundation’s
research and education programs. As president and board chair of Lutheran
Brotherhood, Clair fostered a relationship with MHIF that has existed for 14
years.
In addition to his wife, Gladys, Clair is survived by his children, Nancy and
Robert, their spouses, and eight grandchildren.
