On January 19, 1999, Dr. Kevin Graham was presented a check for $25,000
for further research in the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation's 55
and Under Registry. As the registry's director, Dr. Graham has been
following young patients with documented atherosclerosis requiring
hospitalization for almost seven years, accumulating data on more than
2,300 patients. The registry is unique, quickly instituting
evidence-based medicine to a large group of young patients with known
atherosclerosis.

Seen here accepting the check are (l to r) Dr. Kevin Graham, MHI cardiologist; Lynn Sanders, Merck carediovascular specialty representative; David Jansen, Merck national account executive; and Dr. Ford Watson Bell, MHIF president.
