Tom Brokaw, NBC Nightly News anchor and best selling author of The
Greatest Generation, will be the featured speaker at the Minneapolis
Heart Institute Foundation's annual fundraiser on September 26, 1999 at
the Minneapolis Hilton and Towers.
As anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News, Tom Brokaw has
traveled worldwide to cover elections, summits and major news events
since 1974. His broadcasts are known for their in-depth analysis of
important economic, political and social issues. An acclaimed political
reporter, he has covered every U.S. presidential election for NBC since
1968.
Mr. Brokaw is a program anchor at MSNBC and a contributing anchor of
Dateline NBC. He has played an active role in many NBC News primetime
specials on a wide range of topics, including the documentary special,

hidden realities of racial separation in America's suburbs.
