In Touch is an educational magazine published three times a year by the Minneapolis Heart
Institute Foundation. The magazine is designed to educate the general public with the
latest heart health information and current research initiatives underway at the Foundation.
For nearly two decades the Foundation has provided living proof that research and education
make a difference. In Touch is the means by which we can share this information with you.
Heart disease is still the leading cause of death in the United States – and yet it can be
counteracted by raising awareness, changing lifestyles and improving its diagnosis and
treatments. Our goal is to make heart-healthy living second nature to everyone.
