Aastrom Study
Title: Aastrom Study –TRC's- Autologous Bone Marrow Cells in Patients with Severe Peripheral Arterial Disease (CLI).

Study Sponsor: Aastrom Biosciences
Principal Investigator: Timothy D. Henry MD.
Study Synopsis: The purpose of the study is to see if stem cells that are taken from the bone marrow in your hip can be transformed into cells that create blood vessels. These cells will then be injected into your affected leg, to hopefully grow new blood vessels to increase the oxygen and blood flow to your lower leg. This study will enroll 150 participants in 30 centers around the country
Study Status: Closed to enrollment
How do I qualify? Patient may qualify if they a diagnosis of Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI) without an option of surgical repair. Have symptoms of pain at rest and/ or non-healing ulcers.
